I have a 1963 mercury monterey and i want to switch the generator to an alternator what wires do i hook up or switch is it easy enough or to much headacheHow do you change a generator to an alternator?
Its almost the same thing except it first produces alternating electricity and then rectifies it to dirct electricity and pumps it in thru the battery.The alternator has the voltage regulator internally so U dont need an external one.
If your car uses a 12 volt battery and has a negative ground then you just take the thing and put it on.How do you change a generator to an alternator?
