Remove the negative battery cable, remove the belt, disconnect wires from altanater, remove two bolts that hold the altanater and remove altanater.I need to change the alternator on a 1997 dodge dakota 5.2 L V8.?
Disconnect your battery first, remove you drive belt, remove your tension blot and retaing bolt and slide the alternator out. If you are able to, I'd recommend running to the store to get a manual so you will also have the belt routing available if you forget. It's not difficult, but take your time.
