fairly easy process:
1) get the reapir manual at your local autoparts store or bookstore. It will clearly instruct you with photos and step by step instruction.
2) Make sure you have a few tools (sockets, screwdrivers, a broomstick for leverage).
3) buy the ne alternator, new belt, and new wiring if necessary.
4) get a few beers and crank up some skynard dude!
